The switch is mostly a data question, and the data is small: roster, balances, aircraft times, inspection dates. Clubs typically import those, run one overlap month, and cut over. The scheduling habits transfer in a day; the treasurer usually will not go back voluntarily.
A member's day-to-day is a calendar, a book button, and their balance. In practice the modern interface is easier for less technical members, not harder - and the board can see everything without phone calls.
