A Part 141 course is a published document with stages, minimums, and approved instructors, and your records have to prove you followed it. Resyrv models the course the way the appendices describe it instead of flattening it into a checklist.
+What's included
Courses carry numbered versions with a publication date and the name of the person who published them. Each enrollment records the exact version that student began on, and the database refuses to delete a version any enrollment still points at. Stage sign-offs are checked against that same version, so a student cannot be advanced through a stage belonging to a different course.
Stages carry an ordered position and a flag for authorized progression. Where that flag is set, a student does not advance until the stage check is complete and signed. The gate is in the data, not in a policy that someone remembers to enforce.
Minimums are defined per course or per stage, because Part 141 appendices differ per course. Set them by category (total flight, dual, solo, cross-country, night, simulator, ground) in hours, and landings by count. Progress is measured against confirmed logbook entries, so the number on the screen is the number in the record.
Each syllabus carries its list of instructors approved to teach it. A CFI who is not on the list for that course is not grading records against it.
Grading records are signed by role: instructor, student, and certifier. Each signature snapshots the statement text and a hash of exactly what the signer was shown. Editing a submitted record does not rewrite the signature, it invalidates it with a reason and requires a re-sign, and both rows stay retrievable. Records are never hard-deleted.
Holds pause an enrollment with a start date, a reason, and an optional end date: a lapsed medical, a checkride wait, a student who deployed. Holds are immutable once created and are released rather than edited, which is what makes a training-interruption narrative defensible later.
Signature sole control, intent, scope, and invalidation-on-supersession all follow AC 120-78B. That is the groundwork a school needs when it applies for the LOA that lets it keep required records electronically.

No software is, and any vendor claiming otherwise is selling you something that does not exist. The FAA does not approve training software. What exists is an authorization your school holds: a Part 141 school that wants to keep required records electronically instead of on paper gets an LOA (A025) from its own principal operations inspector. Not their own. Stages flagged for authorized progression require a separate, higher permission than day-to-day student management, self-authorization is blocked outright for members who are both CFI and student, and every release is written to the audit log with the name of whoever made it.
Minimums are stored as individual rows scoped to a course or a single stage, precisely because the appendices differ. You are not squeezing every course into one fixed set of fields.
Yes, and the correction is visible. Editing a submitted record invalidates the existing signature with a recorded reason and requires re-signing. The invalidated signature is retained, matching AC 120-78B's requirement that a signature be invalidated whenever a superseding entry is made.
