Ownership
Aircraft partnership
Two or more people co-owning one aircraft, sharing its costs and access - the most common structure for making ownership affordable.
In practice
A partnership divides the two heaviest burdens of ownership: capital (each partner buys a share) and fixed costs (each pays a fraction of the hangar and insurance). The classic sizes are two to four partners per airplane; scheduling friction stays near zero and each partner's cost approaches a quarter of solo ownership. Partnerships usually fail on undocumented money rules and unrecorded flight time.
