Fixed costs do not care whether the airplane flies, so every additional hour dilutes them across more revenue. Training and rental fleets sustain 50-90 billable hours per aircraft monthly when well run; partnerships run far lower by design. Most utilization lost to friction - booking conflicts, lingering squawks, invisible availability - is recoverable with better operations rather than more demand, which is why it is the first lever to pull.
