100-hour inspection
An inspection required every 100 flight hours when an aircraft is operated for hire - including flight instruction in a club or school airplane.
In practice
Privately operated aircraft need only the annual; add paid instruction or rental and the 100-hour clock starts. The inspection scope is nearly identical to an annual (an annual can reset the 100-hour clock, not vice versa). For clubs and schools the operational question is tracking: hours accumulate at different rates across a fleet, and the schedule needs to see each airplane's remaining margin before it books another lesson.
