Flight review (BFR)
The recurring review - minimum one hour of ground and one hour of flight with an instructor - required every 24 calendar months to act as pilot in command.
In practice
Still widely called the biennial or BFR, the flight review is the baseline currency gate for every pilot. For clubs and schools the operational question is visibility: a member whose review lapsed should not be bookable as PIC, and neither the member nor the scheduler should have to remember that manually. Per-pilot currency tracking tied to booking rules turns a paperwork lapse into a blocked reservation instead of an insurance problem.
