Instructors

Instructors are members with the instructor role, which enables the instructor workflows across scheduling, training, and the instructors page.

Making someone an instructor

Assign the Instructor group (or toggle instructor status on their profile’s Access tab). Instructor status is what makes someone selectable on lessons, visible on the instructors page, and able to use the training tools.

Instructor ratings

Under the instructor toggle you can record what the person is qualified to teach, their instructor ratings. Ratings show on their profile so schedulers and students know who fits which lesson.

The organization’s Instructors page lists your teaching staff in one place, with each instructor’s profile a click away. It’s the roster the front desk works from.

Availability

Instructors publish recurring availability windows and one-off time off. The schedule checks lessons against them. See Instructor Availability in the Scheduling section for how warnings and blocks behave. Those same windows are what the Schedule Builder solves against, so an instructor who keeps their availability current gets a week proposed around their real life.

Hours and utilization

The Instructor Hours report totals each instructor’s flight and ground instruction over any date range. Because Resyrv knows each instructor’s availability, it also shows booked hours against available hours as a utilization percentage. An instructor who was bookable forty hours and taught four stands out immediately, and so does the one who is overloaded.

An instructor with no availability windows configured shows no utilization figure. Publish windows and the denominator appears.
