Invite Your Members

Members join by email invitation or by a shared join link. The access groups that you select control what members can do on the first day. You can change these groups later.

Two ways to invite

On the Members page, you can click Add person. Or you can click Copy invite link and share the join link of your organization in any way.

Add person asks for a first and last name and an email. It can also take a phone number and a company. You also select the access groups that the person starts in.

If you keep Send an invitation to sign in ticked, the person gets an email to sign in. If you untick it, you can add a person who does not need a login yet. You can invite them later from their record. The join link adds people as standard members. You can promote them later.

Access groups

When you add a person, tick the access groups that they start in. Resyrv ticks Member for you. The built-in groups are Administrator, Manager, Staff, Member, Instructor, Maintainer, and Renter. Custom groups that you made show next to them.

The access of a person is the sum of all permissions of their groups. You can give only a group whose permissions you already have. Thus nobody can use an invitation to get more access than you. The organization owner is not a group. To move ownership, use a transfer, not an invitation.

When a person accepts an invite

The invitee opens the link. Then they sign in to an existing account or create an account. Resyrv then puts them directly into your organization. There is no separate approval step. The same link works for an invitation to the organization and for an invitation to a specific aircraft.

What a new member sees first

New members go first to their personal overview. It shows upcoming reservations, the account balance, and items that need their attention. From there, they can complete their pilot profile. The profile holds the certificates, ratings, and medical dates that Resyrv uses to track currency.

Authorized locations

In organizations with more than one base, each member has a list of authorized locations. Aircraft based outside that list do not show as bookable. This is useful when insurance or club policy limits a member to one field.
